Safe Active Streets National Workshop- Perth- 23-24 March 2017
With many states now exploring low speed safe active streets and bike boulevards, knowledge sharing is essential for moving forward. This two-day workshop has been planned to enable discussion about what has been achieved, what is planned, issues and the future.
Day one consists of the learnings from the Perth Safe Active Streets projects over the past 18 months. The safe active streets will be complete by the time of the workshop and there are many lessons and achievements to share. Attendees will then be able to experience the three projects on site by bus or by bike. The day will be capped off with an evening session with prominent Dutch blogger Mark Wagenbuur.
Day two takes on a national approach with presentations on activities and actions in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, followed by an interactive panel session about breaking down the barriers. The final session will consist of a presentation by Mark Wagenbuur and a panel session to gain ideas for pursuing the future.
